Over the course of the pandemic, I had the opportunity to participate in not one, not two, but THREE exquisite corpse games. The first was led by Benedict Kupstas of Field Guides, and the second led me to a collaboration with The Kind Cocoa Mama.

Animal Corpse is the third, an exquisite corpse game I played with absolute strangers on the internet! Jonah, Levi, Ethan A, Porpita, and I met online on a fan forum for the band Animal Collective (hence the name Animal Corpse). After listening to and loving on each other's music, we got interested in the idea of collaborating, and decided on the exquisite corpse game as the method. What we didn't expect was to fall madly and deeply in love...!

Seriously though, in the midst of the pandemic, it was an incredible opportunity to meet, collaborate, and ultimately form friendships with Jonah, Levi, Ethan A, and Porpita. I am so grateful we found a way to work on a project together and experience some newness from our respective quarantine islands.

All proceeds from digital sales of Animal Corpse today and from here on will be donated to Fair Fight, an organization led by Stacey Abrams working to fight voter suppression and disenfranchisement in the state of Georgia.
